History

In the critical task of maritime rescue, the courageous volunteer teams of Britain's RNLI require the most effective vessels to conduct rescues in some of the most demanding environments. The Shannon Class Lifeboat offers a state-of-the-art solution, combining versatility with capability. It can be launched and retrieved from a beach via a mobile slipway and is driven by waterjets, granting it both rapid speed and exceptional manoeuvrability. Built to function in all weather conditions, this impressive craft aids RNLI crews in upholding their nearly two-century-long tradition of lifesaving.
