In the early 2000s, foam board models were very popular because you could build them yourself from foam boards that you could buy at hardware stores. Most foam models today are fully molded sport and scale aircraft - and few can match the unique flight characteristics and performance of crossbody models - especially those designed and built for aerobatic and 3D flight! The E-flite Eratix 3D FF (Flat Foamy) 860mm offers aggressive aerobatic, relaxed sport and leisurely slow flight characteristics of similar models - without all the hassle of buying and building components! It simply screws and clicks together and can be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery - compared to hours of glue and tape assembling conventional crossbody models. Its lightweight yet extremely durable EPP airframe is largely factory assembled and includes a factory installed propulsion system and servos. The 3S-compatible brushless motor is matched with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC. The BNF Basic version is equipped with an AR630 receiver, which offers real-time telemetry data and AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. The Eratix is small and light enough to be flown indoors in gymnasiums and similar spaces or outdoors in yards, parks and sports fields, making it a versatile addition to the existing fleet for a wide variety of pilots!

The Bind-N-Fly ® (BNF ® ) Basic version of the Eratix 3D FF 860 mm features exclusive Spektrum ™ AS3X ® and SAFE ® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger aircraft. The optional SAFE Select offers limits around the roll and roll axis and automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the push of a button to make this the easiest shock flyer to fly yet!

Already own a Spektrum ™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly ® (BNF ® ) aircraft make it easier than ever to get airborne quickly and with the best possible piloting experience. They come with the drive system installed, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver out of the box. So all you have to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete final assembly, and fly!

The Eratix 3D FF is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum ™ Avian ™ Smart ESC that can provide a variety of real-time propulsion system telemetry data while you fly. Including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more - with smart and non-smart batteries - via compatible receivers (including AR630) and Spektrum AirWare ™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 , 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20 and others).

The factory-installed brushless drive system has a specially tuned external rotor motor. This drive system delivers plenty of thrust for unlimited vertical climb and 3D performance with 3S batteries! Use 600mAh batteries to keep weight down, or up to 850mAh batteries for longer flight times.

Easy construction
Unlike other similar cross hull models that are only available as kits without power and RC components, the Eratix 3D FF comes factory assembled with the power system, servos and receiver (BNF base version only) installed. All you have to do is perform a quick and easy final snap-and-click assembly—no glue, tape, or special tools—and you'll be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery!
Durable design
Carbon fiber and composite reinforced high density EPP construction provides a lightweight yet stiff and durable airframe. In the unfortunate event that you damage an airframe part or component and are unable to repair it, a full line of replacement/replacement parts are available.
