- Humbrol Poly Cement - (12ml)
-
Poly Cement is a solvent-based cement with a gel consistency, supplied in a 12ml metal tube for plastic model kits. It works by melting the surface of the plastic on application, welding two pieces together into a single strong joint. Humbrol has been the modeller's standard for decades, and this is the classic tube format for everyday kit assembly.
Key Features
- Gel consistency for controlled placement on both small and large parts
- Touch-dry in 10 - 20 mins; hard-dry in 1 hour
- Bonded joints can be sanded and painted once fully cured
- 12ml metal tube, also available in 24ml
- Permanent once dry; when wet, re-dissolve with Liquid Poly or Precision Poly
Ideal For
- Polystyrene and ABS, the plastics used in most injection-moulded kits
- Aircraft fuselage halves and tank hull sections, with working time to align parts before the bond sets
- Multi-subject modelling across armour, ships, aircraft and figures
How to Use
Apply sparingly, directly to the plastic. A cocktail stick helps you place cement on fine details, and can be thrown away after use. Warning: solvent-based. Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Not suitable for children under 14 years.
